What does a CranioSacral session look like?

The answer is different depending on age.
Starting with an adult – after arriving at my office, there is the obligatory paperwork. Once that is complete, I will invite you to get onto the table – fully dressed. I have blankets available if you get cold – this commonly occurs when our body is at rest.
I will ask if there is anything you want me to know – there does not have to be. Some people come to reset, relax and ensure that all their fluids (blood, lymph, cerebrospinal fluid, interstitial) are flowing so that they are able to take oxygen and nutrients to the various parts of our body and take toxins away.
Then I will share my rules – you may talk, you may ask questions, this time is all about you – it is also ok not to talk.
On occasion I may ask what is occurring – this is to let you know that I am feeling that your body is wanting to show you something significant – you need not respond, you may if you want to. We can explore this together but again; it is not required.
Anything and everything that occurs stays in the treatment room.
Next, I will place my hands gently on your body – I usually start at your feet. At places of restrictions my hands will stay while the restriction releases.
After the session is over, we can talk or not – again that is up to you.
Despite that you may feel all you did was lay on my table for an hour it is not uncommon to be more tired and/ or hungrier after a session.
I will e-mail to check in a couple of days as often the body can take a bit to resettle. You are welcome to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
